Part III of my publication date princess card series (imagine a fold down the centre).
Information on purchasing the set as a whole can be found here:
Cinderella circa 1634 (although, I didn’t research the background…so I’m almost sure that the building is wrong…much less the idea of a clock face. Though no where in the 1634 version does she lose her shoe on a step. At least, not in the English translation I found)
Cinderella received its first WESTERN publishing/story treatment in 1634, though the most famous are probably Perrault in 1697 (same guy and book as Sleeping Beauty) and the Brothers Grimm in 1812. The first version of the story is from Ancient Egypt, and there’s another from the Tang Dynasty of China (800s). Elements of the Cinderella story even show up in the Middle East.
Others in the series:
Second set will be Pocahontas, Ariel, Mulan, Tiana/Princess and the Frog, and Jasmine.
Additional plans include: Tinkerbell, Esmerelda, and Megara. Not sure about any others, suggestions are always welcome.
Art done in Adobe Illustrator. All patterns painstakingly hand drawn. No rasters, no pattern brushes utilized.
